VIEWER FEEDBACK:

"Wow! I just saw your broadcast for the first time and only caught the last 7 or 8 minutes. I was memorized almost to the point that I could not believe I was seeing and hearing what I was.
That was deep. I felt as though you put too much on the "race" side of it though. Hear me out before you stop reading this, please. I am white, or what ever you want to call it, but I am not whitey. I grew up on Michigan ave. in Ft. Myers and no, I never tried to be "Black."
I was treated like shit by cops, I sold drugs, I carried a gun, I did what I had to do in order to survive. That was 15 years ago. I still don't like cops but I don't sell drugs/do drugs or carry a gun anymore. I am working my ass off to stay on the straight and narrow line that "Rich America" gives people like you and I to walk upon. Its not always easy to do but where there is a will......
I wont get to deep into this but I will watch your show again. All I guess I really want to say is "Don't fuel your audience on "hate" for a color."
I am a man with open eyes but I stay color blind. I think a mans actions define him, not the color of his skin and until you know that man you should not judge him . So take this message with a grain of salt and let me know what you think.
I may never understand Your personal side of this battle, and you may never get mine, we are from two different ancestries but we have to share one world.
Much love to ya and good luck on your show, Scottie P."

SCOTTIE P - Thanks for taking the time to write your message - I really appreciated receiving it.  First of all, I have to say great work as far as putting down the drugs and weapons - I'm grateful to have your message up for others to read, because I hope that what you wrote will inspire others to do the same.  I'm proud of you for that my brother.

I do wish you had caught the full episode - you would have seen that during the show, each race got their turn - it was an 'equal' show.  I hope at some point you can find some time to view previous episodes of the show (see the 'past shows' page).  You'll see that I don't have a problem with white people whatsoever.  It's corruption, injustice, and the fact that our government targets the 'poor' that I have issues with.  Reading your e-mail, and your views on 'Rich America', I can see that you can relate to that.  The only people that are offended by my show, are those who 'the shoe fits' - regardless of their race.  Race won't make a difference in how I see you - in fact many of the people who do support the show are actually white people who feel the same way as you and I do.  I fight for all of us, not just one race.

BEFORE I SIGN OFF - IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO ALREADY, MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER TO VOTE!  And visit the 'Get Involved' page - there's some info there about ex-felons getting their rights restored.  Please pass on the info to anybody you know that it might apply to!  Much love and stay in touch!

"As I was flipping through channels on my television, I ran across Michael Anderson. I decided to stop and watch for a few minutes and realized that this show is full of messages of hatred, intolerance and racism. I am disgusted that this has made it on to television. Isn't media already negative enough without the hatred and racist remarks of Michael Anderson? Isn't it time to stop spewing hatred? Michael Anderson is clearly uneducated, ignorant, and prejudiced. He is an absolute disgrace to the black population. Skin color is only skin deep and let us not forget that race, ethnicity, and culture and different. There is a vast difference between pride in one's culture/heritage and pride in their country of origin. Michael Anderson is sick, paranoid, and delusional. If anyone is a terrorist, he is the terrorist.
Stop the hatred." - KEISHA, FGCU.

KEISHA (who writes under a fictitious name and e-mail address) - Thanks for watching, I appreciate your comments.  I do hope that next time you manage to catch a full episode.  As a student, I'm sure your professors stress how important it is to do your research.  Let this be some valuable advice for you - in future, do your homework.  I could not give you a full picture of a Shakespeare play based solely on a single line.  Maybe you could share your opinion on these for starters - maybe you know the full picture, maybe you don't.  But don't write an essay based on them if you don't know where they come from, or what was taking place during the time the words were spoken....

"This above all: to thine own self be true".

"Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him".

Much Love!  Minister Anderson.

I just wanted to speak my mind . I caught your show on sat I like what you are about I feel what you r saying . I feel as if Americans have all become big pusses not standing and fighting for what's right any more what happened to us as a country 100 years ago we'd fight for everything that we thought was right. George Bush has messed this country up just look at the economy its awful and its all because we sit back and let our politicians do whatever they want why this war in Iraq has nothing to do for us we are not benefiting from it our oil prices aren't going down just up along with everything else in this country it don't make sense to me we pay the politicians checks with our tax money so we should be the boss.  If i went to work and started telling my boss what i thought he should be doing and what i was going to be doing id get fired so whats up with the government telling us how were going to be living and how their going to be spending our money. They have spent 1 trillon dollars in this damn war but yet our country is going to hell we got thousands of people needing medical help but cant afford it ????? so how come we can afford this war and not to help the Americans in this country? - DANIEL

DANIEL - I certainly feel your frustration!  This is the whole purpose of Religion, Greed & Politics.  I hope by watching, you and many other people will also be inspired to fight for change.  We can't do it alone, but we have great power in numbers when it comes to making a difference.  We need to start getting involved more, and that begins by voting.  We give away too much by sitting home on election day, and letting others vote for the same ol' same ol'.  I hope we can inspire people with MORALS, and true values, to run for office.  We need to let those people know that we need them out there, and that they will be supported by us.  We also need to let the good ol' boys know that we will not take it anymore!  PEACE!  Keep in touch!

SAW YOUR T.V. AD, CAN'T BELIEVE 1 PERSON CAN BE SO IGNORANT, YOU SPEAK VERY BLASPHEMOUS AND I SUSPECT YOUR A DEMOCRAT. YOU BLAME ALL YOUR PROBLEMS ON THE WHITE PEOPLE IN AUTHORITY. SO WHY DON'T YOU HELP ELECT ALL AFRICIANS/MUSLIMS TO OFFICE AND IT WOULD BE LIKE LIVING IN DETROIT/CLEVELAND/HARLEM AND OR AFRICIA, I HEAR THERE DOING WELL THESE DAYS. - ALEX R

I did respond to this guy to let him know that I won't be like Bill O'Reilly - I did invite him on the show to speak his mind, and let our viewers know why he feels that certain races should not hold public office.  He declined my offer and asked me what is wrong with Bill O'Reilly.  He proceeded to let me know that Bill O'Reilly is 'fair and accurate'.  I'm actually quite disappointed that he rejected my offer, but Alex, it still stands.  After I responded to him I had to leave for the day.  When I got home I returned to find out that this guy had spent the whole day sending e-mails to me, begging for more responses.  Alex, I'm sorry I was not there during your hours of need.  I don't know how you managed to find yourself so lonely, but be inspired, there's others out there just like you.  I hope you manage to find each other.

PS. For the record, I support, or don't support, a candidate based on their individual merits, not upon party affiliation.  How many democratic candidates do we have to choose from in SW Florida?  It's easy for an 'unopposed' candidate to win an election - is it not?
